Community Roots is a free public school that is part of CUSD

Our teachers and administrators will be required to hold the same certifications and our students would be held to the same high standards. CUSD will have general oversight of our activities, but Community Roots will be governed by our own trustees and have the flexibility to set our own curriculum. Community Roots will have no religious affiliation

Public educational choice

As a public charter school, CRA will provide a voluntary public educational choice for parents with students in grades Kindergarten-8 who choose to have their children educated in an alternative learning environment. We will provide high quality instruction and supports to strive to ensure that students make appropriate progress toward achievement of CRA’s school-wide outcomes..
