Summer Meals

When school is not in session, the Summer Meals Program (SFSP) provides free meals to kids and teens in low-income areas. Click the link below to quickly and easily find summer meal sites near you.

We are partnering with Capistrano Unified School District to offer FREE breakfast and lunch for every student this year.

We also have an interactive menu available HERE. Once you’re on the menu page, you will need to select our school site (Community Roots Academy) and the menu (Breakfast or Lunch) in order to view the menu. The interactive menu provides nutrition and allergen information for the meals.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications
Our school relies on families completing the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application for educational funding throughout the year. Even though every student will receive all meals free, it is beneficial for the school if you could fill out the Free and Reduced Price Meal Application. It also may help give qualifying families discounts on home services such as cable, internet, etc. If your family would like to apply, please complete the Free/Reduced Application under "Important Documents" or applications can be accessed in the front office.

Special Diets
Students with special diets requesting accommodations in the cafeteria are required to submit a Medical Statement. Please have a a state licensed healthcare professional complete the form here and submit to jnieves@communityrootsacademy.org.
